Logging Fraud/Phishing on RE

It’s important that we log all cases of attempted/actual fraud and phishing on Raiser’s Edge.

This guide explains how to record these cases.

Always report Phishing cases to IT. You can find out how to do that and access an online course about phishing right here.

Step 1

In RE, go to the Notes section of the constituent’s record.

Click New Notepad.

Step 2

Choose the Type as Fraud Attempt.

Under Description, explain if this was attempted fraud by email/phone/other. Enter the email address/phone number where the attempt originated from (if you have it).

Then Paste the email in the text box, or if it was a phone call etc, write a description of the conversation.

Step 3

If the constituent has let us know directly of a potential fraud issue, we would also record that as an action.
