The Alumni Numbers Report breaks down our Alumni database into various categories, for easy access to statistics such as age and gender breakdown, contactable by email/phone/post etc, and donor numbers.

Please note that Discoverer does not work with Chrome Browser, so you should use either Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.
all counts month_year
This tab tracks the total number of Alumni on a month by month basis.
The graph rises and falls depending on factors including deaths and graduations.
Age Breakdown by Month Year
This breaks down the Alumni totals into age groups, e.g. 31-40 etc. Again, it shows this evolving on a monthly basis.
Age Breakdown Graph
Contains the same info as the previous tab, but presented in graph form.
Gender Breakdown by Month Year
This breaks down the total number of Alumni into Female, Male and Unknown columns.
Gender Breakdown Graph
This contains the same information as the previous tab, but presented in graph form.
This breaks down the alumni database into two categories depending on whether they are Contactable or not.
It gives this figure both in numbers and in percentages.
This shows the number of alumni we have addresses for (excluding Opt Outs).
This shows the number of alumni we have email addresses for (excluding Opt Outs).
This shows how many alumni we have a phone number for (any type) excluding TPS numbers. If a constituent has one TPS number and one non-TPS number, they are included.
This shows the number of alumni we have permission to call even though their numbers are TPS registered.
Gender & Age Breakdown by Month Year
This tab breaks down the Alumni database by age and gender, and tracks this on a month by month basis.
Alumni Numbers by Country
This breaks down the Alumni database by country and by UK region.
Before displaying this tab, a box appears on screen named Edit Parameter Values.
Click on the torch icon to the right of the search box.
This opens the Select Values box. If you would like to select all countries to view, click on All values.
If you would rather choose one or more selected countries, click Selected values. Then double click on a country/region from the Displayed values table on the left to move it to the Selected values table on the right.
If you find the country is not listed in the left hand table, you can click the arrow underneath the Displayed values table to display the next 100 countries/regions.
Finally, click OK to run the report.
This tab can be used to filter the data by all the measures available in the reports. e.g. Age Distribution, Addressable etc.
In order to filter, just select one of the options in the top part of the tab and choose Y or N (the default is <All>).
The Alumni Count SUM will change depending on the filters you have selected.
USA Alumni Counts by State
This tab displays a breakdown of every US state and how many alumni we have in each.
It displays these figures on an ongoing monthly basis so the figures can go up or down.
Rating by Contactable
This gives a breakdown of the number of rated prospects we have who are contactable.
It is divided into the 5 rating categories of A*, A, B, C, and D.
Rating by Faculty
This breaks down the rated prospects into the various faculties they graduated from.
It’s also divided by rating.
Rating by Contactable Graph
This gives the same information as Rating by Contactable (Step 15) but in graph form.
This report shows the number of alumni where all of their numbers are TPS registered.
This shows how many alumni records we have employment contact details for.
It breaks this down by numbers and percentages.
Business Details Graph
This displays the same information as Business Details but in graph form.
This displays the number of alumni where at least one of their contact numbers is TPS registered.
Alumni Current Year Donor Numbers
This displays the number and percentage of the alumni database who have donated in the current year.
