Divisional – General actions that cover activity not specific to a particular area

Complaint DDAR has received a complaint from the constituent
Contact Preferences Update Any standalone act where the constituent informs DDAR of their contact preferences – for example, opting out of emails.  Takes precedence over ‘Details Update’ where both are included in one communication
Details Update Any standalone act where the constituent informs DDAR of new or updated contact details
Event Save the Date The act of sending a save the date message about an event
Event Invitation The act of inviting a constituent to an event
Event Tickets The act of sending tickets for an event
Event Follow Up The act of following up after an invitation to an event, or after the event itself (e.g reminders, feedback requests)
FOI Request DDAR has received/dealt with an Freedom of Information request from this constituent
Greetings Card Christmas card, birthday card or similar
Library Card Constituent has been issued with a library card by the University
Privacy Communication Communication in respect of our privacy statement, or how we process data
Recognition/Gift DDAR has recognised this constituent in some way, for example with provision of a gift – which is not linked to their own giving
Subject Access Request DDAR has received/dealt with an Subject Access equest from this constituent

DR – Benefit/Recognition/Gift Provision of a token or benefit to the individual owing to their status as a donor
DR – Campus Visit Contact around the facilitation of, or actual (bespoke) visit to, campus by the donor
DR – Donor Magazine Sending of a donor magazine (full, comprehensive publication)
DR – Donor Newsletter Sending of a donor newsletter (concise, breif update)
DR – Donor Pin Sending of a donor pin
DR – General Contact General contact not covered by the above but that links to the status of the constituent as a donor – e.g. general feedback
DR – Report Bespoke communication reporting on the impact of the donor’s support
DR – Recipient Update/Profile Update provided by a recipient of this donor’s support – profile, testimonal or article, or communication trying to source this
DR – Award Administration Contact around the administration of donor funded awards

 

Communications – Actions specific to Comms work outside DR, MG or RG

CO – Beneficiary Case Study/Profile Contact relating to the provision of a case study, profile or quote by a funding recipient
CO – Donor Case Study/Profile Contact relating to the provision of a case study, profile or quote by a donor
CO – Non-Beneficiary Case Study/Profile Contact relating to the provision of a case study, profile or quote by a non-beneficiary impacted (or potentially impacted) by donor support – e.g. grateful patients, cases for support

 

Regular Giving – Actions for activity related to the Regular Giving programme

RG – Solicitation The act of asking for a gift as part of the regular giving programme
RG – Follow-up The act of following up with a constituent following contact as part of the regular giving programme
RG – Pledge Chase The act of chasing a constituent following a pledge as part of the RG programme
RG – Pre-call A pre-call communication prior to a solicitation
RG – Thank You A thank you following a gift give as part of the regular giving programme
RG – Cancellation Communication around the cancellation of a gift
